Foosball

CNetS and the School of Informatics and Computing have purchased a foosball table for use by faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. The foosball table is located in Informatics East 400 lab.

The table was acquired thanks to the generosity of Informatics faculty, the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. We are also grateful to the Facilities Group for finding a good location for the table.

We are monitoring the increase in publications, grades, grants, and h-indices that will undoubtedly result from this productivity booster… In the words of one student:

Just the thought that a foosball table might be coming caused me to write a paper of such exceptional quality that I will in fact be at a conference presenting it at the time of the tournament… if that’s not proof I don’t know what is.
