CNetS @ IC2S2

ic2s2_logoCNetS students, postdocs, and faculty members will be presenting 12 papers, 7 posters, and a tutorial on OSoMe tools at the 2000 International Conference on Computational Social Science (IC2S2), held online this year due to COVID-19. In addition, Fil Menczer will deliver one of the keynotes.

Oral presentations will cover research on many topics including social bot detection, political bias in social media, coordinated manipulation online, political tweets in Brazil, network science method for extracting hierarchical backbones from networks, graph embedding methods and their application to the science of science, media frame analysis with neural language models, application of network science to the opioid epidemic, the impact of novelty in fanfiction, and gender diversity in collaboration networks.

IC2S2 is the major conference for new work in the field of computational social science, bringing together researchers in computational science, complexity, and social science. The first conference was organized in 2015 in Helsinky by CNetS former director Santo Fortunato.
